Danfoss ICSH Dual-Position Solenoid Valves
ICSH dual-position solenoid valves (ICV platform) open hot-gas defrost flow to the evaporator in two steps: step 1 (~20% of full flow) builds a smooth pressure in the evaporator, then step 2 opens to 100% for full defrost capacity. Both steps are activated in a time-delayed sequence by a controller or PLC energizing two EVM NC pilot solenoid coils.
Two on-site configurations: linked (step 2 can only open after step 1) or independent (step 2 can open regardless — use with care to avoid liquid hammer if step 1 is bypassed).
