Danfoss Motor Operated Valves and Actuators Type ICM and ICAD
ICM motor operated valves driven by ICAD actuators regulate expansion in liquid lines (with or without phase change) and control pressure or temperature in dry and wet suction lines and hot-gas lines. Opening and closing forces are balanced, so only two ICAD actuator sizes cover the complete ICM range from DN 20 to DN 150 — a very compact unit.
ICAD 600B / 1200B actuators are controlled via modulating analogue signal (4–20 mA / 2–10 V), digital ON/OFF, or data communication (Modbus RTU / TCP-IP), with an MMI display and Bluetooth mobile-app setup.

What is the Danfoss ICM valve?
The ICM is a motorized regulating valve for precise, modulating flow control in industrial refrigeration systems. It is driven by a Danfoss ICAD actuator mounted directly on the valve.
Which actuator does the ICM 50 need?
The ICM works with ICAD actuators. The current series is ICAD B (ICAD 600B / 1200B) — the older ICAD A series (600A/1200A) is discontinued, so new projects should use ICAD B.
Can I buy the ICM valve body without the actuator?
Yes — the ICM valve body and the ICAD actuator can be supplied separately or together. Let us know which combination you need when requesting a quote.
What pressure ratings are available?
ICM valves are available in 65 bar and 52 bar versions depending on size — confirm the rating when ordering.
How is the ICM controlled?
