Danfoss FIA Filters (Strainers)

FIA strainers are angle-way and straight-way strainers designed for favourable flow conditions, easy installation and quick inspection and cleaning. They are installed ahead of automatic controls, pumps and compressors — for initial plant start-up and where permanent filtration of the refrigerant is required.

The stainless steel filter net mounts directly without extra gaskets; two insert types are available — a plain stainless insert and a pleated insert with extra-large surface (DN 15–200) for long cleaning intervals and low pressure drop.

FIA-140B — 140 bar series for CO₂ transcritical

For industrial CO₂ transcritical systems, the FIA-140B series (Flexline SVL-140B platform) offers the same strainer function at 140 bar (2030 psi): DN 50 – 150 (2 – 6 in.), angle or straightway, DIN / ANSI butt-weld and brazing connections up to 64 mm, –40 – +150 °C. UL / CRN approved.

FIA 250–300 — large-size strainers

For large lines, the angle-type FIA 250–300 (10–12 in.) covers DN 250–300: 40 bar, –60 – +150 °C, low-temperature steel housing, DIN / ANSI connections. Stainless mesh inserts of 150 or 250 micron (100 / 72 mesh) mount directly without gaskets; a magnetic insert is available for trapping iron and magnetic particles. DNV / CRN / BV / EAC approved.
